Utah Concealed Carry

Utah Concealed Carry Overview

Utah is recognized as one of the best permits in the country for several reasons. Utah allows applicants from any state to apply for the permit and if they meet a set of requirements anyone can get the permit. The requirements are very reasonable.

Utah Permit Info

Utah is a strict SHALL ISSUE state, meaning that if you meet their requirements they WILL give you a permit. The state also works hard to meet other states requirements and actively seeks reciprocity agreements to allow the permit holder to carry throughout as much of the country as possible. Currently 34 states recognize Utah’s permit. The cost is very reasonable: $65.25 is what the state charges–plus any other amounts needed to meet the state requirements (usually about $50) which include a weapons familiarity course, a passport photo, a fingerprint card, and a notarized application.
